Welcome to the Museum of the Staffordshire Yeomanry (Queen’s Own Royal Regiment)
This museum records the colourful history of Staffordshire’s own volunteer cavalry, from the raising of the Regiment in 1794 at the Swan Inn, Stafford, to the end of WW2. It also serves as a tribute to the men from towns and villages in this county, who fought and sometimes died in the service of their country.
We have been hosting an annual lecture as our main fundraiser since 2008. Both educational and entertaining, the lectures have been a huge success – visit our Events page for more information about this year’s lecture, scheduled on Thursday 12th November 2026.
